Friday, March 14 was the second time, that I was Djing at our most favorite club, the Silbando, but the first time on the main milonga friday night from 22 PM to 02 AM. The feedback I got from last month's event was quite positive and that people were looking forward to the next time... People said it was like in the best times of Silbando, where music was challenging and an inspiration for the Tangueros. With a little bit of neo tango, but mainly classical in the beginning and at the end..(the tired face expression on Rolf's Face in the back is NOT due to the music...;)

Tango Astillero

Tuesday night of the Tangoweek 2007 in Zurich: the Sexteto Astillero, upgraded with a singer to a Septeto, plays at the Club Silbando. Accompanied by a visual story telling, playing videos and video art, it all was like being in a music video on MTV. They played Tango Nuevo, rough, loud and unfiltered. And well. Sometimes extremely in-sync with the video. The band is also introduced by an article in the weekly "Züri-Tipp" here.

Club Silbando

During an excursion of the bar team of the famous Tango Argentino Club Silbando, we had a discussion in the team bus, which was the best Tango Club in Zurich. No doubt, this is the Club Silbando! Every Monday and Friday evening, there is a dense atmosphere in which everyone can enjoy Tango Argentino.
